And now, it is time for my first ever VLOG.
Wow, that was awkward. I still had fun doing it, even though it wasn't running related. Sock buns are really great for after a lunch time run at the office, or rainy days when your hair just doesn't want to cooperate. As I type this post, I am wearing one right now! It really is my new favorite hair style and I hope it never goes out of style!
I hope you enjoyed this vlog and maybe the next one will be running related... Maybe... (and hopefully less awkward, but let's not get our hopes too high...)
I love the variations people have on the sock bun. yet to do it myself, but since I've been really trying hard to not wash it as often in attempts to have healthier hair, this is really something I need to work on...
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fantastic day as well! :)
Love it! The only thing that would have made this video better would be a cameo from Pepper.
ReplyDeleteHaha, Pepper was too busy sleeping. Believe me, I thought about it! :)
ReplyDeleteI highly, highly suggest it, especially if you have not washed your hair recently. It holds up pretty nicely regardless. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI need step by step you here with me instructions on how to do this... I cannot.
ReplyDeleteBring a dress sock to the blogger party in December. I will teach you then. :)
ReplyDeleteSo I'm behind on the times. I never knew this existed. lol
ReplyDeleteNow you know!! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I have heard of the sock bun via pinterest. Although I didn't know you put an actual sock in your hair. I am trying this! lol
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes. I also didn't know an actual sock was used either... Preferably a clean sock
ReplyDeleteThat "probably" looks way better than my frazzeled, tucked in ponytail, scruntchy bun. :o)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason i keep trying this and failing. I am going to blame the sock...
ReplyDeleteBring a sock to the blogger Christmas brunch! I can try to help!! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I wore it yesterday so I didn't want to also wear again today. When I was studying for my test last week, I think I wore it EVERY DAY (not exaggerating). I also wore it the day of the exam. Hopefully my husband doesn't mind that I wear the same hair style every day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for demonstrating Kelly! My daughter has to wear her hair in a bun for ice skating competitions but neither her nor I have the patience for the sock bun so I shelled out $12.00 and purchased a whirl a style :)!!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Love it!!! Looking forward to more vlogs!
ReplyDeleteBetween your sock bun and Sara's race do, I'm so inspired to try out new styles! Now I need to go find a suitable sock ....
ReplyDeleteLoved the vlog! :)
Yay thanks Melanie!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wouldn't suggest wearing the sock bun while running. I've worn this while trying to run and catch my train. It is more annoying than anything else. :)
ReplyDeleteOh how cool! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHave you tried using a hair donut instead? BunQueen.com has them in different colors and sizes so you can get different looks with your bun!
ReplyDeleteAs I mentioned in the video, I haven't tried anything else because this seems to work for me. Thanks!
