Baby Wilson: 25 Weeks

How far along? 25 weeks
Baby’s size/development this week: weighs 1.5 pounds and measures 13.5 inches long; about the size of a cauliflower
Maternity clothes: wearing them? Yes. I recently bought a skirt from the Gap that I've been eyeing on their website for weeks. Yay for the in-store clearance section!
Miss anything? Craft brews
Food cravings? When I got home from Ragnar, I wanted something deep fried. I don’t know why but I just wanted something that I knew wasn't going to be good for me. The husband obliged and made a run to Mindy’s where I was able to get chicken fingers and French fries. It totally hit the spot and I devoured every bite.
Anything making you queasy or sick? I actually have been trying iced coffee lately and it isn’t half bad. I think that is because it is half milk, watered down with ice, and includes some sugar. But the smell of strong black coffee still makes me a little ill.
Sleep: I have been sleeping on my right side since I started sleeping on my side. I recently learned that I should be sleeping on my left side. (Apparently there is better blood flow to the baby if you sleep on your left side.) This is a bit more uncomfortable than usual and so I’m back to having some trouble falling asleep. I usually will wake up on my back or on my other side anyways. Lol. I guess sleeping Kelly knows what she wants…
Best moment of the week: Helping my friends finish the Ragnar relay. It was a really rewarding experience.
Nursery: I cleaned up some more of the stuff on the floor but I still have a little ways to go. Next up is picking the paint color.
Wedding rings on or off? on
Movement? The movement has been pretty regular. Some of my van-mates even got to see my belly move when Baby had the hiccups over the weekend!
Weird pregnancy thing of the week: Hmm, nothing really all that weird this week. Although, picking stuff up off the ground is becoming increasingly more challenging.
Daddy is feeling: the realization more and more that this baby is coming!
Mommy is feeling: happy to soon be moving into the third trimester! Wow, how the time has flown.
Workouts this week: I did lots of walking and driving at Ragnar but no official workouts. My body was physically tired from all of that so I’m going to be taking it easy this week. I’ll probably take Pepper out for a walk later this week if the weather is nice.
Looking forward to: My annual trip to Mall of America next week! I’m very excited to find some great deals on clothes for me and Baby :)

  3. Haha, this is my 3rd time heading to MOA. I go with my in-laws and they always end up buying so much! I'm a bit more conservative, but I'm always sure to leave plenty of room in my suitcase for the extra swag for the way home. :)

  7. Thanks! :) I'll be sure to share some of my loot and deals afterwards! My husband laughs that the baby has more clothes than him and the baby isn't even born yet. Oops!

  9. Wow, hard to believe you're almost to the third trimester already. The MOA trip sounds fun! I've still never been there, but that may not be a bad thing, especially for my bank account. My friends tell me that they hardly ever buy clothes for their kids because everyone else always does (I'm guilty of this - those little clothes are so stinkin' cute!), so it's probably okay if you buy a little more for you than baby :) I'd guess that anything you get for the last trimester will probably work for a while post-baby too

  10. Haha, that's what folks keep telling me. Lol, I just can't seem to help it! I probably won't buy a ton of stuff for Baby, but we'll see. I'm hoping to get some good deals on maternity clothes!

  12. I couldn't remember if it was left side or right side. Do you feel like that was another thing you should have known earlier?

Ooo! I hope we get to see a cute maternity clothes fashion show when you get back?

And you totes deserve something deep fried. I can understand craving that after Ragnar!

  13. Yes, I wish I would have known about the side sleeping earlier. I didn't really think it mattered one way or the other until my doctor told me. The hubs and I are having issues with us both fitting comfortably in our bed with our respective body pillows and my new required sleeping position. Lol. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

Haha, I will try and do a fashion show when I get back! I do have a few posts planned in the future on my thoughts on maternity clothes and my favorites... also some tips I picked up that help "fake it 'til you make it" confidence boosters when maybe you aren't feeling so great about your new body. At least, some things that helped me.

Oh man, those chicken fingers were so good. I haven't had that for a meal in a long time so it was definitely a treat! :)

  20. Sleep however you want. your babe will be just fine. I still sometimes end up on my back for a bit which is supposed to be really bad :S oops! With Logan I alternated left and right sides and he turned out ok. I cant believe you're still running I stopped a long time ago. I am 23 weeks! I can't wait to get this guy outta me.....I've never been a huge fan of being pregnant = I just want the end result ;) Looking good Kelly
