Weekly Cardio Summary 3/10-3/16

It is recommended to do at least 30 minutes of cardio a day when you are pregnant. I know a few of my fellow friends keep track of their weekly workouts and I think it is a great thing for me to start doing too! I think it will help me when that pregnancy brain kicks in and I can't remember what I did earlier today, let along last week.

Everyday: Walk to and from the train. 8 miles total.
0.8 miles each way. 2x per day, 5 days a week. I love my brisk walk from the train station to work every day. I used to hate it, but now I'm really starting to enjoy it.

Sunday: Rowing machine for 15 minutes
I haven't used the machine in awhile and it totally showed. I really enjoy the rowing machine because it works your arms and legs with very low impact. I watched the preview for the new season of Game of Thrones and I couldn't be more exited! New episodes start March 31!

She was so happy to be on that walk!
Until I got ice cream and she couldn't have any.
Sunday: 3 mile walk with Pepper
As I mentioned before, our pup needs to loose a few pounds so I've been taking her on a nice long walk every weekend. So far we're 2/2 and I hope to make it out this weekend too!

Wednesday: Running 1.5 miles on the treadmill
I am not going to post the pace of my workouts because to me, that is not important. I don't want to compare myself to other pregnant people or have other pregnant ladies compare themselves to me. I was just happy to run a few miles to get those endorphins going! Is my outfit obnoxious enough? I didn't think so either ;)

  1. I always say, the brigghter, the better!

Now that I have seen Pepper's new cut, she looks so different in that photo!!!!

Did your Disqus settings change? I can't seem to figure out how to use my name and url anymore (I liked that your blog had that).

  2. Looks like Pepper is enjoying her walk! Luckily you are a runner so 30 minutes of cardio/day for you is probably not too big of a deal. Women who were inactive before they got pregnant would probably have a more difficult time getting into some kind of cardio routine. That said, I've never been pregnant, so maybe 30 minutes of cardio is difficult regardless. :-)

I know what you mean about the commute walk... like when they had the wells street construction a couple of weeks ago? I thought it would be horrendous. But really, it was only an extra .6 mile walk in the morning. I actually have chosen to do it anyway since then. Not in the current cold, of course...

  6. Haha, yeah. They had to shave her down!

Yes, my disqus changed. I don't know what the issue is. Are you opposed to creating an account with them? I know if you do so, you can get emails when responses are sent to you. In the meantime, I'll look for the FAQ on how to change the settings. Thanks!

  9. You know, I never thought of tracking my commute. That makes me feel much better about my days off! :)

  10. I never really think about my commute because I make it every day! But when I drove to work yesterday, I realized that I didn't get in any exercise for the day. Oops! Every and any little bit helps!

  11. I have an account, I just liked it before when I could link back to my blog and not the stupid disqus page. But I will use it like I am supposed to and quit bitching :) Maybe now it won't spam all my stuff?!
