Almost There...

Thanks for all of your kind words on my Blogiversary post! I'm excited to see what the next year will bring! I have a lot of fun running ideas already planned out, and I'm super excited to see how things turn out! :)

Full blown panic has set in. The exam is less than 2 weeks away and I still have a lot of information to get through. I have a few more guest posts lined up and I appreciate you guys sticking with me as I get through this. Things will be back to normal in December and I already have a few races lined up for the winter! I'm looking forward to the first snow falls, the absence of 100+ degree days, warming up with hot cider and hot chocolate and wearing all the new running clothes I got on clearance last year (and of course, trying out some new Oiselle items too). Anddddd, who can forget my favorite holiday, Christmas. This year I'm not doing any decorating or fun Christmas stuff until after my test is over--it will be my own personal reward for my hard work. We are even thinking about getting a real tree this year! (I've never had a real tree before, only a fake one.)

What are you excited for this winter? Do you love winter running as much as I do?

Who's excited to be running through the snow? This girl!

I like the summer, don't get me wrong, but I HATE the heat... like, more than the average person. I love the winter. I think it is because I'm a January baby? Who knows. :)

  1. I'm not a fan of winter running at all but I like ur positiveness about it.
I've always had real trees and love them. I think about getting a fake tree but can't ever get myself to do it!

  2. My husband vetoed buying a new fake tree when ours broke a few years ago. Real trees are great, but the cheapness in me doesn't like how expensive they are. But they smell great! And it's a fun tradition for the family to go pick one out. He had a real tree every year growing up because they just went out to their KY farm and cut one down. Much cheaper!

  3. Yes, super excited for winter running. It is the greatest. Picturesque, empty trails and instant cooling when I get overheated. Plus the cold wind makes workouts hard, but not miserable. The picture of the trail makes me want to get out my cross country skis and haul down that trail! Good luck with your test!

  4. I'm really excited for a real tree! I guess I don't know how much they cost as I've never bought one before... I guess I'll find out soon enough! I know they have a few lots here where the money goes to a local Lions Club or other non-profit organization. That at least makes me feel a little better about spending the money. We have a TON of pine trees on our property, but they wouldn't fit in a house. I mean, maybe Clark Griswold style... Hmm, maybe that IS an option??

  5. We are def opposite runners. You don't mind running in the summer, where I don't mind running in the winter. We can motivate each other when it is the less-preferred season of the other! :)

  6. Thanks Pete! I do love that photo of the trail. I'm looking forward to snow fall if only for warm fuzzies and picturesque purposes.

  7. Ha, I'm a February baby...maybe that's why I like to run in the winter too ;)

But I'm always up for a lazy day at the beach in the summer!

  9. Ooo, I love having a real tree and am so excited you are getting one! It makes the house smell so good!

And I LOVE winter running too. I am a very hot (temperature) person so winter feels good to me. Until I stop running. LOL, then I jump in a hot bath (which is really bad for you because it dehydrates you but I don't care).

  11. Yes! I'm pretty excited about the real tree! I might not even need to buy a new pine-scented candle this year! :)

I think I am a hot temperature person too. I always warm up pretty quick when running (and why I probably shouldn't have goal races in summer.....)
